"Stranger in a Strange Land" by Iron Maiden provides the music while RCW shows highlites of the feud between Nick Mercury and Rogue, both before Rogue's one month suspension and since he's been back. We are told that they will settle their feud tonight in the main event, inside a steel cage!!

Opening Bout:
Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. defeated Bert Meijer by pinfall after a piledriver at 4:24
-squash match. After the bout however Orton lined Meijer up and gave him a second piledriver. It looked like he was contemplating a 3rd one despite the warnings of Buddy Lane, when Scotty Rexsteiner hit the ring and Orton decided to leave the premises.

Interview:
Cowboy Bob Orton took refuge behind the announce table to do his first RCW interview. He said he told the fans he had a deadly piledriver, the deadliest in the world, and he just proved that as fact. Orton then yells at Rexsteiner who is helping the paramedics remove Meijer from the ring "hey Rook, don't you be sticking your nose into the Cowboy's business, or they'll be taking you out of that ring in a body bag."

Bout #2
Jack Steele defeated Rick Renslow by pinfall after a running kneelift at 4:08
-squash match. Steele says he is 3-0 in RCW, but thats twice he's beaten Renslow and so far has not faced any competition.

Interview:
Jack Steele says he hopes that RCW will give him some stiffer competition next week. The fans seem to love this man who hails from the Republic of Texas.

Interview:
Nick Mercury says that ever since his first run in with Rogue, it has been one deception after another. That is why he requested a steel cage, to keep out the latest deception, Rogue's manager The Dungeon Master. He calls them both geeks and says its time to grow up. With that he adjusts his Rising Son headband, and takes his tassle and latex covered body out of there.

Bout #3
Bryan St. John defeated Buck Zumhoffe by pinfall after a spinebuster slam at 5:41
-Zumhoffe controlled the first couple minutes keeping St. John off balance with a series of high paced moves, including a plethora of dropkicks. But St. John caught him coming off the top buckle and never looked back.

Interview:
Bryan St. John says he is sick and tired of being put on the back burner, and that he has proven he deserves a title shot. He says the champion is nothing but a yellow striped hyena.
The fans go nuts when Vendetta comes down to the ring. The champ says that although he had a very tough match with Kevin Kelly last week to retain the title, he is only scheduled to face a non-title competitor in the next bout, Big Green. He offers St. John a title shot right now, and the fans go nuts. Vendetta says that St. John may be the #1 contender, so take the shot. Bryan St. John though looks like a deer caught in the headlights. He snaps out of it long enough to say that he felt his knee tweak in that bout, and he's somewhat winded while Vendetta is fresh and has the element of surprise. St. John says it would be more fair to have their bout next week.
Vendetta just laughs and says okay for next week, but who has the yellow stripe down their back now?

Bout #4
Non-Title Match
Vendetta defeated Big Green by pinfall after a DDT at 3:25
-squash match.

Post-Match:
While Vendetta posed with the Heavyweight title, Bryan St. John snuck in the ring and was going to attack the champ from behind, but the Haitian turned around. St. John got that deer in the headlight look again, and snapped out of it just in time to high-tail it out of the ring as Vendetta went after him.

Interview:
Vendetta says that if St. John wants to run away next week instead of taking his shot at the title then that is fine, but next week may be his one and only chance to take the title away.

Interview:
Rogue for once does not have much to say in his coded language before turning it over to his new manager the Dungeon Master. The DM says that Mercury thought this was a wise move to go to the cage match to keep him out, but instead what he has done is locked himself into a steel cage with a ravaging beast who will rip his skin from the bone, and tear his muscle away from his body. He tells Mercury to prepare to be consumed.

[end of first hour]

Interview:
Terminator Riggs has a steel chair in the ring at the ready for his interview with Ron Strong. He calls Larry Cameron a lousy partner, a terrible wrestler, and a wimp. He challenges Cameron, his former short-term partner to come down to the ring now that the show is on the other foot.
Larry Cameron comes walking toward the ring, he too has a steel chair. He says he'll come into the ring if Riggs tosses his chair away, and he'll toss his chair away too, and this can be settled like men. They do just that, tossing the chairs away, and Cameron slides into the ring and the two men go at it. They exchange kicks and punches in a wild brawl that spills outside the ring. They both predictably scramble for chairs and Riggs is just a second faster then Cameron and nails him across the back. He then lays in one more to the back of the head, tosses the chair off of Cameron's head and leaves to a mixture of cheers and jeers.

Bout #5
RCW Tag Team Title Match
The Top Guns defeated Troy Galveston & Shayne Tustin by pinfall when Rice pinned Galveston after a double dropkick at 7:01
[The Top Guns retained the RCW Tag Titles]
The match began with a handshake. Galveston and Tustin had another solid outing this week, but unlike last time against Cameron and Riggs, this time they faced a team that had been wrestling together longer then them, and had more chemistry. All four men tagged in and out of the ring fast, and after a brief 4 man skirmish the champs bumped Tustin out of the ring, sent Galveston to the ropes and hit him with a double dropkick to pick up the win.

Post-Match:
The Top Guns offer a handshake to their opponents. Tustin accepts it but Galveston just walks away.

Interview:
The Top Guns are asked about that young duo and heap praise on their performance and how far they have come in the past few months. But Dukes doesnt like that Galveston wouldn't shake hands, even though Rice tells him to let it go.
Troy Galveston though comes back and is still mad, saying he won't shake hands with them because they cheated to win, using a double team move. Dukes calls him a sore loser as Shayne Tustin comes back to the ring. Galveston is pissed off though and slaps Dukes across the face, and is slapped right back. Rice and Tustin step in and get their partners to take a step back, and defuse the situation.

Bout #6
RCW TV Title Match - Title can change hands on a countout
Mike Lozansky and Ted Arcidi battled to a no-contest at 5:11
[Mike Lozansky retained the RCW TV Title]
The chemistry between Lozansky and Arcidi was only marginally better this time out, with Arcidi hurting Lozansky's back which allowed him to control most of the bout and slow it down, grounding the high flying champion. Then as Lozansky gained control and Arcidi tried to bide some time outside the ring only to be followed by the champ, "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal came down and attacked Arcidi. Lozansky then attacked Regal, and we had a 3-man brawl that caused Jurgen Hermann to end the proceedings.

Post-Match:
All three men continued to brawl as security tried to pull them apart.

Interview:
Security were still on hand as both Ted Arcidi and Mike Lozansky insisted on being in on the interview. They both want Steve Regal in the ring next week to gain a bit of revenge.

Main Event
CAGE MATCH

Nick Mercury  v  Rogue

Rogue started strong getting in some early kicks and punches and then bouncing Mercury off the cage walls. He applied a double underhook facebuster to get an early two count. Mercury came back with some body shots, and then a fireman's carry into a slam for a two count of his own. Mercury took the match over dominating the next few minutes and Rogue was busted open on two different spots on his head, making one ghastly crimson mask. Mercury nailed an elbowdrop from the top rope and came within a whisker of getting the 3 count. Rogue though made a late comeback punctuated with a running powerslam against the cage wall that shook the whole aparatus and threatened to make it fall. He made the mistake though of climbing the cage wall and trying for a kneedrop from higher then the top rope. He took too long and Mercury moved out of the way. Nick worked over the knee, softening it up, and then placed it across the bottom rope and climbed to the top buckle. He was about to jump off when the Dungeon Master appeared at the cage wall. Nick jumped anyway and as he landed squarely on the leg of Rogue he received a fireball in the face!! The fans were shocked, never having seen anything like this before, and it happened so fast they could be seen asking their fellow fans if that is what happened. Mercury rolled around the ring in pain as referee Buddy Lane called for the bell. Since cage matches are no disqualification he had no choice but to end the bout saying that Mercury could not continue.

Rogue defeated Nick Mercury by referee's injury stoppage after a fireball at 10:43

Post-Match:
Paramedics entered the ring to try and calm down a screaming Mercury. They finally pulled his hands away from his face as we went off the air.

Opening Bout:
Non-title
The Top Guns (Derrick Dukes & Ricky Rice) defeated Catfish Charlie & Caveman Broda by pinfall when Rice pinned Broda after a double dropkick at 5:49
-squash match

Interview:
The Top Guns are being interviewed about their match from last week when Troy Galveston and Shayne Tustin themselves show up. Tustin looks reluctant but Galveston is still hot. Troy says he can see the champions are still up to their usual tricks of cheating to win matches, having to double team their opponents. Dukes says he's heard enough of Galveston's whining and its time to put him in his place. He tries to get at Galveston but once again their respective tag partners drag them apart. Dukes challenges Galveston to a match one on one next week, and of course its accepted.

Bout #2
Rogue (/w the Dungeon Master) defeated Super Uke by pinfall after an inverted DDT at 1:15
-very quick squash match

Interview:
Dungeon Master says that Nick Mercury learned the hard way, when you play with fire, sometimes you get burnt. Ron Strong calls them a pair of vile cancers. Rogue goes off on a mediveal tangent about Mercury being a fancy pants.

Promo:
We get an injury update from Dr. Kivner, a plastic surgeon from Minnesota who has been working on Nick Mercury. He says the damage is mostly superficial and while some plastic surgery may be required down the line, currently his patient is working at healing the burns so that he can get back to wrestling without too much pain.

Bout #3
Jack Steele defeated Kevin Kelly by pinfall after a running kneesmash at 8:03
-Well Steele said last week he wanted stiffer competition and thats exactly what he got with recent #1 contender Kevin Kelly. Steele took a beating for the first half of this match but when Kelly was unable to put Steele away even after hitting his neckbreaker finish he seemed to lose his fire and Steele made the spirited comeback.

Interview:
Jack Steeele thanks RCW for giving him this higher level of competition and submits that he must now be considered in the title picture. The Texan's interview however is cut short when Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. comes down to the ring early for his match. He tells Steele to run along because he wants to get his match started early, so he can win, get his cash at the pay window, and head to a party over at the Keystone Bar with some fine working ladies he met last night here in Brandon. Steele of course seems mad about the request but decides not to make trouble and walks away. After a commercial break we have Orton's match.

Bout #4
Bob Orton Jr. defeated Scott Rexsteiner by pinfall after a piledriver at 5:54
-true to his word Orton works the match like he is in a hurry, but the fast pace works somewhat in the favor of the younger Rexsteiner who is able to match punch for punch with Orton and even grounded him in a facelock and armbar for a minute. But Orton catches him with a clothesline straight to the adam's apple, stomps away at the back of his head and neck, follows with a neckbreaker, and then the piledriver for the win.

Post-Match:
Orton leaves the ring, then stops, smiles, and returns to try and give Rexsteiner one more piledriver. But the youth manages to counter with a backflip and starts to trade punches with Orton. Cowboy Bob though gets in a knee to the groin. He sets him up again for a second piledriver but Jack Steele runs in to make the save.

Interview:
Jack Steele says its one thing to interrupt him, its another to try and hurt someone, that he won't sit idly by and watch.
Scott Rexsteiner says he stopped Orton last week from doing the same thing to Bert Meijer and now thankfully Jack Steele was here to return the favor this week.
Steele says someone needs to step up and take care of this clown, and he's just the right Texan to do it. But Rexsteiner says he wants one more shot at it so Steele tells him to leave a piece of that scumbag for him.

Bout #5
Ted Arcidi & Mike Lozansky defeated Steve Regal & Dr. Gold by pinfall when Arcidi pinned Gold after a powerslam at 6:11
-despite their differences Arcidi and Lozansky worked well as a team, both mad at Regal for interfering in their matches. Dr. Gold started the match and was manhandled by his opponents. They didnt want Gold though and allowed him to make the tag out to a reluctant Regal. After some stalling Regal locked up and faired no better then Gold. Arcidi and Lozansky took turns punishing him until he was able to tag out to Gold. Satisfied with the licking they had given Regal they managed to finish off Gold a minute later. Regal did not attempt to make the save and left for the back immediately following the 3 count.

Post-Match:
After their hands were raised in victory Lozansky offered a handshake to Arcidi. The big man looked like he would accept but instead he clotheslined Lozansky and left him laying in the ring.

Bout #6
Grudge Match - Chairs are Legal
Terminator Riggs defeated Larry Cameron by pinfall after a chair shot at 7:45
-this slightly absurd match was set up based on the propensity these guys have had for hitting each other over the head with steel chairs. The fact the fans hate both guys was even more the reason to add the stipulation. To their credit they actually worked an entertaining match with lots of spots such as struggling for a chair only to have it fall into the audience, throwing an audience member off a chair to try and get one, swinging chairs at each other and smashing them into each other, and actually throwing chairs at each other from too far away to be accurate. Six minutes in and neither man had landed a decent shot. As they brawled over at the announce table Cameron picked up the ring bell and was going to nail Riggs with it but was warned by referee Jurgen Hermann that this would be a DQ, so he dropped it. But in the meantime Riggs knocked the announce table over on Cameron, pushed Ron Strong off his chair, and finally had his chair shot. Cameron turned away from the shot and took it across the back. Riggs rolled him into the ring. Cameron took a swing at Riggs from his knees, but the former tag champion caught him with a knee, and then nailed him with another chair shot to the back. He rolled him over and pinned him, 1, 2, 3.

Interview:
Terminator Riggs says he just beat Lethal Larry Cameron, and he has made a decision to stop trying to replace Wolff, and go on with his singles career instead. He insists that this victory should give him a shot at Vendetta.

Main Event
RCW Heavyweight Title Match
Vendetta defeated Bryan St. John by countout at 7:01
[Vendetta retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]
-St. John seemed a bit hesitant, someone who was more concerned with not losing then actually taking the title. He also seemed content to feel out Vendetta, trying to ground him and applying many restholds. Vendetta worked through this offense and picked up the tempo, nailing several running clotheslines, a flying shoulderblock, and a German suplex that came within a whisker of getting the 3 count. He was trying to go for the DDT but St. John read it, dropped down, and rolled out of the ring. He then kept walking, away, taking the countout loss as the fans jeered.

Post-Match:
As Vendetta posed at all 4 posts with his title belt, St. John returned to the ring and attacked him from behind. He laid the boots to the champ, and then nailed him in the head with the title belt.

Opening Bout:
Rogue & The Dungeon Master defeated Bert Meijer & Al Dusha by pinfall when Rogue pinned Dusha after an inverted DDT at 5:00
-squash match. Rogue began by working over Meijer, then tagged out and his manager DM continued the beating. Rogue came back in but Meijer was finally able to make the tag out to Dusha who stepped into the ring for the first time in the match. He walked right into an elbow between the eyes, and then the inverted DDT seconds later, and the match was over.

Interview:
Ron Strong informs Rogue & Dungeon Master that Nick Mercury will be back next week and is going to get himself a tag partner to face them. DM laughs saying he hopes that Mercury doesn't scare all the small children with his disfigured face from the fireball. He suggests that only a blind man will want to tag with Mercury so it should be easy pickings next week.
Rogue calls Mercury a provendor, and threatens to tie him to the jigger for a few lashes next week. He laughs and says the days of Mercury and the morts is over, he'll be spending his nights with a fen or a cove, that nancy boy.

Bout #2
Terminator Riggs defeated Catfish Chalie by pinfall after a powerslam at 0:45
-very quick squash match. Riggs attacked him at the bell, beat him down, gave him a bodyslam, clothesline, then finished him with the powerslam.

Interview:
Terminator Riggs says they just don't get it. He's done proving himself and is ready to take the Heavyweight title from Vendetta. And if he doesn't get his chance he's just going to have to go get it himself.

Bout #3
Jack Steele defeated Steve Regal by pinfall after a running kneelift at 6:11
-fairly easy time for Steele as Regal's stock here in RCW continues to drop.

Interview:
Jack Steele says he just finished watching the superb performance of Terminator Riggs and heard what he had to say. Well Steele says that he too feels like he should be the #1 contender for the title, and that no disrespect intended, but he ain't going to get beat in 45 seconds like ol' Catfish. When asked about Cowboy Bob Orton, Steele says that all real cowboys are from Texas not from Kansas. He says that Orton should have a couple more swigs of Jack Daniels before he tries to dance in another John Cougar video, because Cowboys are supposed to do the two-step not dance around like the town drunk. He says Orton is as low as a snake's belly. Ron Strong suggests that in future interviews Steele should learn to speak his mind more freely. But the fans love the man who hails from the Republic of Texas.

Bout #4
Troy Galveston defeated Derrick Dukes by pinfall after a double underhook suplex at 7:26
-Dukes controlled most of the match with Galveston only getting in a little offense here and there. But Dukes was coming off the ropes and tripped on what appeared to be a seam in the mat or something, and Galveston took full advantage. He dropped an elbow on the back of Dukes' neck, followed with a running legdrop, then hit his finisher to pick up the surprise victory.

Post-Match:
Troy Galveston celebrated as Dukes examined the mat with referee Jurgen Hermann. Galveston got upset that Hermann was doing that instead of raising his arm in victory and then he demanded that Dukes raise his hand in victory too. This drew the ire of the fans of course and Dukes refused. Ricky Rice hit the ring to backup his partner Dukes, and this was followed closely with Shayne Tustin who stood beside his partner. Just when it looked like cooler heads would prevail and Tustin and Galveston walked away, Galveston feigned tripping on the mat. That sparked a full out 4-man brawl that had to be stopped by RCW officials and security.

Interview:
The Top Guns were extremely pissed off and said that if thats the way Galveston and Tustin want to play, thats fine with them, they've handled bigger bad boys then that before. Rice calls Galveston a classless fool, and says next week they are going to get beat down.

Gene Kiniski comes out to a nice ovation. He says that its time for him to go home back to the west coast, and its time for RCW to move ahead and name a new commissioner. The fans go crazy when he brings out the new boss, Baron von Raschke!! The Baron cuts a short promo saying he will be watching all the cheaters very closely and will rule with an iron fist, or rather an iron claw. His first order of business tonight is to make the main event rematch between Vendetta and Bryan St. John into a lumberjack match. This way St. John can't chicken out like he did last week. He of course ends the promo with "and that is all the people need to know."

Bout #5
Bob Orton Jr. defeated Scott Rexsteiner by pinfall after a piledriver at 7:36
-well actually it was after two piledrivers. He had the match won after the first but elected to lift the youngsters head up to break the pin, and then nail a second piledriver.

Post-Match:
As soon as the mach ended Jack Steele slid into the ring and got between Orton and Rexsteiner. This ended up in a pushing match between Steele and Orton but the veteran cowboy from Kansas didn't push the issue and decided to leave the ring.

Bout #6
RCW Television Title
Mike Lozansky defeated Ted Arcidi by pinfall after a dropkick from the top rope at 8:30
[Mike Lozansky retained the RCW TV title]
The champ controlled early using his speed and technical expertise. But Arcidi managed to catch him with a clothesline and took away all his momentum. Arcidi punished him for a few minutes with holds and power moves. He tried for a powerslam but Lozansky managed to drop behind him, drive him to the buckle, and almost got a 3 count. Lozansky went to work with some dropkicks, a flying backelbow, and a vertical suplex. But when he came off the ropes and tried for a bodypress Arcidi caught him in the air, turned him upside down, and was about to nail a piledriver. But Lozansky countered by getting out of the grasp and pulling Arcidi down in a roll-up for a 2 count. Lozansky then hit two dropkicks, then climbed to the top rope and finished the match.

Pre-Match:
Vendetta comes out and as he talks the fan favorites begin to enter the ring to show their support. He is soon flanked by Catfish Charlie, Derrick Dukes, Ricky Rice, Scott Rexsteiner and many more. He says St. John got his free shot in last week, he thought St. John was just a coward, he didnt realize he was a scheming coward. Tonight he will pay the price for his treachery.

Lumberjack Match

Vendetta (champion)   v   Bryan St. John

The locker room emptied as fan favorites gathered around one side and the rulebreakers around the other side. Match started with the usual lumberjack spots. St. John tried to roll out of the ring to get a break only to immediately get thrown back into the lion's den. Vendetta got tossed out of the ring by St. John and got beat on by the rulebreakers until the fan favorites came over to rescue him. St. John then controlled for a couple minutes after that beating but Vendetta just kept roaring back. He exploded with a football tackle, put St. John in an armbar, moved to a standing hammerlock, lifted St. John into the air and slammed him to the mat. He continued to work on the injured arm but couldnt get his opponent to submit. Vendetta made the mistake of leaving the ring to climb to the top buckle but on the rulebreakers side of the ring. The lumberjacks reached out to interfere, grabbing at his feet, just long enough to allow St. John to recover and toss Vendetta off the top rope. He covered for 1, 2, Steve Regal and Ted Arcidi both reached into the ring and held down one of the champs feet 3...no wait...Buddy Lane indicates he stopped his count, and that he saw what just happened.
The fan favorites though take matters into their own hands running around the ring and getting into a big brawl with the rulebreakers. All the big rivals faced off, including Jack Steele and Bob Orton throwing them, and Mike Lozansky getting into it with Arcidi first and then Rogue. Baron von Raschke then came back and stood guard on the ring apron. He knocked down several wrestlers so that the action outside would not spill inside.
St. John tried for his spinebuster slam but Vendetta countered with an earringer, then an atomic drop, a clothesline, and a running shoulderblock. He then hit the DDT and got the duke.

Post-Match:

Opening Bout:
Non-title match:
Vendetta defeated Hoyt Daill by pinfall after a DDT at 3:19
-squash match

Interview:
Ron Strong tells the RCW Heavyweight champion that tonight's main event will feature Jack Steele against Terminator Riggs with the winner to be named the #1 challenger for his heavyweight title. Vendetta says that of course he will face and beat either man, but admits to not knowing very much about either man. Steele is new to the area and fights with an intense sense of justice, while Riggs is still finding his way as a singles wrestler and is always dangerous.

Bout #2
Bob Orton Jr. defeated Gene Swan by pinfall after a piledriver at 4:24
-squash match

Interview:
Bob Orton says he has no ill will toward Steele or Rexsteiner, that he is done with both of them and is just going to take it easy for awhile. He says he's thinking of going camping.

Bout #3
Ted Arcidi defeated Scott Rexsteiner by pinfall after a full nelson slam at 6:28
-both men trying to get back on track after some recent losses. A very slow methodical match with Rexsteiner showing off his amateur background on the mat, but ultimately he was no match for Arcidi's raw power.

Interview:
Ted Arcidi says he learned some humility from his loss last week to Mike Lozansky and says it will allow him to become a better wrestler.

Bout #4
Bryan St. John & Steve Regal defeated Bert Meijer & Al Dusha by submission when Regal made Dusha submit to the figure-four at 7:09
-solid outing for this new combo of St. John and Regal who worked well together. Once again Meijer took most of the matches beatings only to have Dusha walk into a drop toe hold after the hot tag, and St. John dropped a leg across the back of his neck. A minute later he found himself crying uncle.

Interview:
Steve Regal seems extremely happy about their chemistry, but Bryan St. John looks non-commital. Then he tells Regal that he has been partnered with the likes of Sweet Stan Lane, and quite frankly if he is going to go after the tag straps it won't be with him. St. John says he'll find his own partner and walks away.

[end of first hour]

Bout #5
Dungeon Master & Rogue defeated Nick Mercury & Mike Lozansky by pinfall when Rogue pinned Mercury after an inverted DDT at 10:22
-Lozansky faired very well, looking strong throughout this match. Mercury on the other hand choose to wear a mask to hide his burns and it openly bothered him at times, having to both stop and adjust the mask and scratch his face through the mask. He also was preoccupied with getting vengeance and kept walking into the opposition corner and getting double teamed. In the end the Dungeon Master was able to distract Mercury at just the right time and allowed Rogue to clip the knee of Mercury from behind, and then nail the inverted DDT to pick up the win.

Interview:
Dungeon Master and Rogue boast about their victory until they are interrupted by Ron Strong who says he has a message from commissioner Baron von Raschke. Due to the fireball incident he has signed a match for next week with Nick Mercury facing the Dungeon Master. Rogue is banned from ringside and if he does appear he will be suspended from RCW. This does not go over well with the medieval duo.

Bout #6
RCW Tag Team Title Match
Top Guns (Ricky Rice & Derrick Dukes) defeated Troy Galveston & Shayne Tustin when Rice pinned Tustin after a double dropkick at 8:40
[Top Guns retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
-very fast paced match with Galveston throwing the rulebook out the window. While Tustin played along with his partner, he didn't take it nearly to the extreme that Galveston cheated. They almost won when Galveston grabbed a handfull of tights. Inept referee Jurgen Hermann did not look around to see so Derrick Dukes entered the ring to break up the pin. Rice was then double teamed but eventually made the hot tag. A four man brawl ensued that was won by the champions. They threw Galveston over the top rope, getting a huge ovation, then hit the double dropkick on Tustin. Dukes waited, and when Galveston tried to get back into the ring to break the count, Dukes ran along the ring apron and kicked him in the chest to stop the interference.

Post-Match:
As referee Hermann went to bring the tag titles back into the ring Galveston pulled him off the ring apron and took the belts. He started to walk down the aisle displaying the belts like he had won them. Oddly enough when he tossed one to his partner, Shayne refused and grabbed the other belt from Galveston. He began to walk them back to the champs who saw what was happening, but then got clotheslined from behind by Galveston. The Top Guns came to the resuce and Galveston high tailed it to the back leaving the tag titles and his partner laid out on the floor.

Main Event
#1 Contenders Match
Terminator Riggs defeated Jack Steele by pinfall after a powerslam at 8:55
-this match was pretty even with both men getting in lots of power and brawling sequences and no sustained advantages until near the end. Steele took over the match in the last couple minutes but just when he thought he had Riggs, Cowboy Bob Orton Jr came down. He didn't interfere in the match, he didn't have to. Steele stuck his head between the ropes to jaw with Orton and this allowed Riggs to attack him from behind and choke him on the ropes. Less then a minute later Riggs had nailed a clothesline and his powerslam finisher.

That's it for another edition of River City Wrestling.
