Best Drama / Action Show

Nominees are:

24
CSI
Numbers
Without A Trace

And the Winner is:

24

The first year I actually watched this show live and it is addictive. CSI's shake-up attempt to keep it fresh did not work, I liked the old set-up better, plus I missed most of the episodes this year. Without A Trace is a good show but is growing old real quick. Numbers is a decent enough show, but it benefits from a very weak batch of shows this year. For the first time in many years no Law & Order worth nominating.

Best Reality or Variety Program

Nominees are:

Making the Cut
The Club
The Surreal Life

And the Winner is:

The Club

Snowball's chance in hell of getting a 2nd season as this flop was broadcast on both Spike and MuchMusic. It took until nearly the end of the show until I even found someone else I knew that watched the show. IT was a fantastic inside look at a Las Vegas nightclub "Ice", and I liked it both from the entertainment/excitement angle as well as the business angle.
"Making the Cut" about NHL hopefulls getting one more shot at attending an NHL camp was great as well, a very close 2nd place. The real tragedy is that there was no NHL camps this year for the winners to attend. Hopefully next year.

Best Comedy

Nominees are;

Corner Gas
Rescue Me
Rick Mercer's Monday Night Report
The Simpsons

And the Winner is:

Corner Gas

What a pathetic year for comedies, no good American sit-coms at all. Reality shows have really kicked the crap out of the sit-com. Corner Gas was much better last year but still had enough gas (duh) to win this year. Rick Mercer and Simpsons were added only as filler. To tell the truth the funniest moments in television this year were probably from the Surreal Life and The Newleyweds with the stupid Jessica Simpson.

Best Sports or Sports Entertainment Program

Nominees are:

ABC's Monday Night Football
ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball
Making the Cut
WWE's Smackdown!
WWE's RAW is War

And the Winner is:

ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball

What an incredible upset. No Hockey Night in Canada this year, incredibly boring year of Monday Night Football, and the WWE is still stuck in the doldrums of bad writing. On the other hand Baseball had a magical season capped with the incredible Boston Red Sox winning the World Series. Miller and Morgan are also very good announcers so hats off to them for a good season.
